NEW SATIN STRINGS MEMBER ORIENTATION

There will be a mandatory “Satin Strings New Member Orientation” meeting for both the parents and students MONDAY, MAY 11th 2015 at 6:00 pm in the Permian Orchestra Room. We will discuss the upcoming year and what to expect as a member of Satin Strings. We will also talk about all summer activities and measure for uniforms.

Some of the items we will discuss:
• SATIN STRINGS PUBLICITY PHOTOS: Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Permian HS.

• SATIN STRINGS MUSIC CAMP: Friday – Sunday, July 31-August 2, 2015. The group will retreat to the Sacramento Methodist Assembly Campgrounds in Sacramento, New Mexico. The students will focus on memorizing music, learning to stroll and getting to know each other. The cost of this excursion into the woods: $75. Attending this camp is not required, but is highly encouraged. You will fall behind in memorization and strolling technique if you miss this important time together.

• THE CHRISTMAS SEASON: How to adapt to a busy concert schedule and still do other things.

• LEADERSHIP ROLE: How to be a positive leader in the orchestra and leadership expectations.
